Job Title: Mainframe Developer

Duration: 12 months (Possible Extension)

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Overview:

Support and maintain a legacy IMS mainframe-based Accounts system scheduled for decommissioning in 2028. The SME will act as the primary point of contact for all system-related inquiries and support activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain stability and performance of the legacy IMS Accounts system, including both online and batch components.
• Monitor IMS and DB2 application databases daily to ensure system availability and continuity.
• Handle system issues and inquiries from business units, clients, audits, and technology teams.
• Analyze and implement mandatory technical and business enhancements.
• Support risk, compliance, and audit requirements related to the IMS system.
• Participate in system transition efforts by providing SME knowledge and support for data and functionality migration.
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, regulations, and system operational standards.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficient in COBOL for both batch and online applications.
• Experience with TSO, MVS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, NDM, SFTP.
• Familiarity with ChangeMan, Info/Man, and RACF security.
• Strong expertise in system analysis, software maintenance, and production support.
• Experience with MQ data transfer and MFS screen development.
