JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Director, IT FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Vice President, Finance

SUMMARY

The Information Technology Director is responsible for leading Summit's Global Information Technology team. The team consists of Employees, Contractors, and Consultants. Areas of focus are Global Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery, Software Development, Service Desk, Infrastructure, System Administration, and Engineering support. The IT Director should have a solid technical background and demonstrated leadership skills necessary to lead, manage, and motivate the Global team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Oversee all technology operations according to established goals Establish IT policies and systems to support corporate strategy Manage, develop and standardize Global IT activities and procedures Analyze business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs Perform and document Disaster Recovery test on all critical systems Evaluate, design, and implement Cybersecurity layers following the NIST and ISO27001 information security management systems framework. Architect and manage multiple Infrastructure and Software Development projects Lead software selection, implementation and migration activities Direct software development activities to maximize throughput and value generation Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management Control budget and report on expenditure Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts Manage large software migrations (Win10 to Win11, o365 to m365).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Proven experience as IT Director with global responsibility Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 experience will be a plus Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) migrations Experience in controlling information technology budget Excellent organizational and leadership skillsOutstanding communication abilities BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field; MS/MA will be a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 28 on the cognitive portion).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position typically does require up to 15% travel.
