SourceIQ is a cloud-based supplier sourcing platform helping mid-market and enterprise procurement teams automate supplier discovery, RFP matching, and vendor engagement in one unified platform. We leverage AI to streamline the entire sourcing processfrom supplier data ingestion to AI-powered supplier recommendations.

We're an early-stage, product-led startup with strong traction and partnerships in the procurement space. We're now building out MVP2 with a lean but driven engineering team focused on scalable APIs, secure architecture, and enterprise integrations.

** What Youll Own**

Were looking for a Backend Engineer who can take ownership of our internal API infrastructure and authentication system as we scale to pilot with large enterprise buyers.

Youll

• Build and maintain APIs using NestJS + TypeScript
• Implement and manage OAuth2, SSO, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Support features for the Admin Panel (user management, role configuration, system settings)
• Collaborate with our AI, data, and front-end engineer to secure access layers across the platform
• Harden endpoint security for RFP matching, communication, and supplier data workflows
• Help guide best practices for authentication, auditing, and session security

Tech Stack (ONLY APPLY IF YOU USE THESE STACKS)

• Backend: NestJS, TypeScript, Node.js
• Database: Cosmos DB (MongoDB API), Azure Blob Storage
• Auth: OAuth2, JWT, Microsoft SSO, RBAC
• Infra: Azure, GitHub Actions
• API Standards: REST + GraphQL (future consideration)

What You Should Bring

• 5+ years backend development experience, ideally with NestJS or Node.js
• Experience with OAuth2, RBAC, SSO (Microsoft preferred)
• Confidence securing APIs and managing multi-role authentication
• Ability to write clean, testable, scalable code in TypeScript
• Experience integrating with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL document stores
• Comfort working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments (startup-ready)
• Bonus: experience building admin panels or enterprise SaaS platforms
