Volt is immediately hiring for Assembly Operator I (2nd shift) at Arden, NC 28704


As an Assembly Operator I (2nd shift), you will be responsible for :

  • Polish and test fiber optic cables. Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
  • Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
  • Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions.
  • Conduct tests as needed for particular operations.
  • Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
  • Inspect product to print. Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.
  • May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment. General housekeeping of work area.
  • Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
  • Follow safety guidelines. Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Read and perform tasks according to drawings. Recognize common fiber connectors.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.
This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.


The ideal candidate will have:
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • High school Diploma / GED.
    • Minimum one year manufacturing experience required.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications
    • Experience with manufacturing fiber cables preferred.
    • SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading.

Schedule: 2nd shift - 3pm-11:30pm.


Pay Range*: $17/hr. - $19.37/hr.


*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
