Full-time opportunity for Physician's Assistant with experience in orthopedics
The Orthopedic Partners Clinic is preparing for the opening of our new Urgent Care Facility in Cotton Wood Heights.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant
with previous experience in orthopedics , to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to patients within our new Urgent Care Facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedics, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our orthopedic surgeon to diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in an Urgent Care setting.
Location: Cottonwood Heights
Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Assess, diagnose and treat patients with immediate medical needs
- Conduct initial patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Assist in surgical procedures, providing preoperative and postoperative care.
- Develop and recommend treatment plans in collaboration with the orthopedic surgeon.
- Perform joint injections, aspirations, casting, and other minor procedures.
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and postoperative care.
- Participate in the clinic on call schedule to address urgent patient needs after hours.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR), documenting patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, diagnostic imaging facilities, and physical therapy as needed.
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and messages promptly and professionally.
- Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and manage patient flow in the clinic.

Requirements
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Orthopedic experience is required. Strong clinical and surgical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in an urgent or emergency care setting is beneficial
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in EHR software and basic computer skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in an Urgent Care facility within orthopedic practice, including patient care areas and operating rooms.
May require standing for extended periods and lifting/moving patients or equipment.
Part-time position with some flexibility in scheduling
