JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Fitness & Spa Services Director

DEPARTMENT: Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club

I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the provision of an array of Fitness, Aquatics & Wellness Programs and activities to members & guests. Perform physical assessments of members & guests. Oversee the maintenance, service and upkeep of the facility, pool and equipment. Manage all fitness /spa & pool personnel.
A. Selects, trains, schedules, supervise and all personnel and programs assigned to the fitness/spa & pool. Provide assistance in the direct supervision of staff and evaluate the effectiveness of their roles.

b. Fitness Contractors ( Personal Trainers, Fitness Class
c. Instructors, Massage & Facial Services)
B. Plans and directs group fitness programs.

C. Provide Personal Training as requested
D. Provide courteous and attentive service to all members and guests
E. Supervise and participate in the programming, designing and implementing of year round fitness and wellness events.
F. Implement and maintain fitness & health activities calendar, flyers , posters and newsletter & photos.
G. Ensure all facilities & equipment is properly maintained and groomed. Inspect on a daily basis.
H. Administers and enforce all the Club's/Facilities rules and regulations governing the use of the facility including dress codes and proper etiquette, equipment and other property
I. Formulates weekly work schedules adhering to budget goals. Maintain payroll records
J. Assist in the development of departmental budget; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are met.
K. Attends management and staff meetings
L. Markets facility to members and guests. Initiate community awareness of membership options.
M. Works closely with Tennis Director, as a team, to ensure that all aspects of the tennis, bocce, fitness, pool and spa runs smoothly and in accordance to programs set forth.
N. Monitor and inspect Fitness/Spa Complex grounds and report any grounds issues to golf course superintendent and or General Manager.
