Shift & Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into and throughout all business practices
  • Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility and ensure service is of the highest standards – capable of representing GardaWorld as the premier provider of security services in the industry
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports
  • Ensure that operational logs, records and post orders are maintained appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between GardaWorld, our client, and our assigned staff
  • Assist in the selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff assigned to the account
  • Maintain goal of zero safety incidents, while at the same time managing a robust safety culture and a robust safety program that is appropriate to the operating environments
  • Regularly review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement of security operations, decreased risk, and reduced cost where possible
  • Be ready to respond to any operational emergency and insure timely response, timely and efficient communications and accurate reporting
  • Perform the duties of Security Officer as needed
Work Environment
This job operates in varying site-specific environments. "This position requires the officer to be standing or walking outdoors for the duration of their shift"

The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Preferred Education and Experience
Ideal candidates possess two-years’ management experience. Previous contract services, hospitality, military or law enforcement experience is desirable, as are CPP/PSP and other related certifications.

Scheduling
  • Security Supervisor positions involve regular and irregular shift work and shift rotations necessary to provide security services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year (weekends and holidays included).
  • Work shifts are normally eight (8) or ten (10) hours in duration but may be extended in the event of emergency, disaster, manpower shortage, workload or work-in-progress. High percentage of attendance, on-time arrival to work and ability to work overtime when necessary are required.
Environmental Factors
  • Security supervisor positions involve exposure to and may require the supervisor to function in the presence of the following:
    1. Exposure to computer screens
    2. Temperature controlled environment
    3. Inclement weather, to include extreme heat/cold, rain, snow, wind, etc
    4. Light conditions associated with day and night
    5. Fire, smoke - as close proximity as necessary to provide emergency services
  • Personal danger, including but not limited to:
    1. Armed and/or dangerous persons
    2. Persons and/or articles with contagious/communicable diseases
    3. Hazards associated with natural and man-made disasters
  • Biological substances, toxic materials and noxious odors;
  • Use of personal protection equipment
Additional Requirements
  • Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
  • Obtain and maintain registration as a licensed security supervisor in the appropriate municipality/state
  • Must possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED) (Required)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid Florida State "D" Security License
