The Opportunity

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL . Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Responsible for crafting new, modifying existing, and performing ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making. Develops an understanding of the business/customer and builds positive relationships with stakeholders. Delivers value through data analysis and reporting and adapts to changing business needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Facilitates business projects of complex size and transparency ensuring stakeholders champion decision making data needs.

  • Develops business solutions, including data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.

  • Leverages an understanding of multiple data structures and sources to perform complex data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.

  • Recognizes the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.

  • Supports development of innovative reporting and requirement gathering approaches to address business problems and solutions.

  • Ensures that operational reports are complete and provide accurate data to enable business functions to carry on day-to-day operations.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are optimally identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 4 years of experience in data analysis/extraction, statistics, data management, analytics and/or data reporting.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proficient knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques.

  • Proficient troubleshooting skills.

  • Understanding of compliance, risk management, and data security frameworks.

What sets you apart:

  • 2+ years’ experience with data analysis, reporting, and data manipulation tools to build reporting (e.g., Tableau, SAS, Excel).

  • Strong technical experience of SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with establishing controls to ensure reporting accuracy and quality.

  • Shown ability to communicate complex concepts optimally to all levels of management, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in data analysis skills to distill insights into clear communications (verbal and written).

What we offer:

Compensation : The salary range for this position is: $85,040 - $153,080.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
