Overview:
The Mortgage Loan Originator plays a pivotal role in our team, focusing on Purchase Money and Assumption originations. This position involves handling inbound, outbound, and digital leads to drive sales volume. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can deliver exceptional service while building strong relationships with our residential mortgage customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, as well as follow-up on digital leads, to effectively drive sales opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective residential mortgage customers to secure Purchase Money mortgage loans.
- Ensure accurate completion of loan applications in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate the exchange of application and disclosure packages with borrowers.
- Meet predetermined mortgage business volume targets.
- Utilize systems for maintaining product knowledge and managing pipeline efficiently.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial calculations and stay updated on current rate/pricing trends.
- Employ excellent follow-up skills to achieve targeted conversion rates.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth file transfers.
- Maintain and update customer relationship management database.
- Identify and seize opportunities to cross-sell other products and services, including brokerage.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mortgage industry sales.
- Prior business or sales experience is required.
- Preference given to candidates with call center or telemarketing experience.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in Purchase Money Mortgage Sales.
- Self-motivated individual with high energy and a positive attitude.
- Excellent phone etiquette and fluency in the English language; bilingual or multilingual proficiency is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, as well as using various computer software programs related to loan origination and customer relationship management.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration:
- Multiple NMLS State Licenses required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The physical demands include sitting for extended periods and using hands to handle objects or controls.
- Regular talking and hearing are necessary for effective communication.
- Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be required.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment typically has moderate noise levels.
