Provider Engagement Account Manager
Location: Remote – Georgia (Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett County – Travel >4 days per week within assigned territory)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire
Compensation: $55,000 – $99,000 annuall

Position Overview
As a Provider Engagement Account Manager , you will serve as the primary liaison between the health plan and its network of contracted healthcare providers. In this consultative and relationship-focused role, you’ll collaborate directly with physicians and healthcare leaders to drive improved performance across quality, cost, and utilization metrics — ultimately ensuring members receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned provider groups, maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Conduct regular in-person provider visits to review performance, share data insights, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address provider concerns and drive network performance improvements related to HEDIS/quality, cost utilization, and value-based metrics.
  • Analyze provider performance data to identify trends and develop actionable plans to enhance outcomes.
  • Support value-based care initiatives by helping providers align with performance-based agreements that reward high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Track, monitor, and report on key performance metrics and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 2+ years of provider engagement or account management experience in a managed care, IPA, or medical group setting.
  • Proven ability to build strong provider relationships and facilitate performance improvement conversations.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS/Quality measures, MLR, cost/utilization analysis, and value-based care models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must reside within Georgia and be able to travel locally up to 4 days per week.
