Position: Live-out Personal Assistant/House Manager
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday with flexible hours (both in-person and remote)
Location: New Canaan, CT
Salary: $130,000 − 150,000 plus health insurance and 401k plan
Current Staff: Housekeeper and Chef
Overview:
Seeking an exceptional Personal Assistant/House Manager to assist the principal, take charge of the smooth running of their household in New Canaan, CT and support the family. The PA/House Manager works in close partnership with the principal to successfully manage the day-to-day operations of the household, ensure seamless coordination among the staff team, and engage in ongoing, proactive planning to deliver a personalized experience for the family.
Job Requirements:
· Assist the principal in all aspects of domestic support, including calendar management, high-level travel coordination, run daily errands as needed, etc.
· Ensure property is properly maintained; make suggestions for repair/maintenance
· Interface with seasonal maintenance providers (pool opening, outdoor furniture storage, seasonal landscape, water filtration provider, chimney sweep, HVAC maintenance, etc.)
· Ensure cars are properly registered, cleaned, serviced, and repaired as needed
· Daily errand completion such as drop-off of FedEx packages, occasional grocery shopping, pickup of tailoring and prescriptions, and similar
· Point of contact for all domestic staff, contractors, and external service providers
· Manage AV, security, and other IT systems to ensure everything is in working order; including weekly review of all AV systems in house to confirm TV/stereo/video subscription systems all functional and properly logged in, and coordinate necessary updates with AV contractor
· Assist with household bill pay
· Ability to take on ad hoc projects as identified by the principal
Candidate Qualities:
· Strong communicator with ability to anticipate the needs of the principal
· A clean valid driver’s license, with own car to use in CT
· Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
· Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
