Mobile Mechanic

Gateway Truck & Refrigeration is a well-known family owned business with 13 locations throughout Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. We are looking to add Mobile Mechanics to our hard working team in Franksville, WI! Come join our team today!

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical repairs on Spotter Trucks
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as laptop computers, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order
• Keep work truck clean and safe
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty vehicles
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Flexibility to meet changing demands

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (preferred)
• 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position (preferred)
• Cummins Certified (preferred)
