The role of Accounting Integration Lead is a critical leader to help achieve those aspirations within our Finance team. In this individual contributor role, you will be a manager of process and will use your financial expertise to help the company reach our growth goals.

As an Accounting Integration Lead, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of both acquisition integration activities specific to accounting/Controllership operations and purchase accounting. You will support the management of accounting operations for acquired entities from the date of acquisition through the earlier of the transition into other corporate functions or the full integration date. In this role, you will use your accounting and financial operations experience to work with team members from acquired entities and SPS, including managing work processes and procedures. The Day-to-Day

The Accounting Integration Lead is crucial to the integration, governance, and oversight of accounting operations activities for acquired entities. This includes oversight of integration to SPS process, daily accounting operations, management of an efficient month-end close, reviewing general ledger entries and account reconciliations- relating to acquisitions. This role also includes partnering with internal stakeholders such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Billing, Payroll and other areas internal and external to Controllership.

Integration Management for Acquired Entities

• Oversee the accounting integration of acquired entities into the existing SPS accounting structure, systems, and processes
• Partner with various internal stakeholders throughout the transition of merging acquired entities into existing business processes
• Track and summarize the status of integration activities for all acquired entities
• Coordinate purchase price allocation and opening balance sheet calculations
• Provide audit support for the acquisition transaction cycle and corresponding SOX controls ?

Pre-Integration Accounting for Acquired Entities

• Manage an accurate, efficient, reliable, and timely month-end close process for non-integrated acquired entities until transitioned to Corporate Accounting
• Work with the finance team of acquired entities to learn existing accounting policies and processes
• Review general ledger entries and account reconciliations for acquired entities
• Oversee the general ledger system for acquired entities, ensuring consistency and continuity across all recurring and non-recurring transactions
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to review expenses and assist in variance analysis of actuals versus ? forecast

Additional

• Further evolve an accounting integration playbook for major transaction cycles including billing, revenue recognition, payables, treasury and corporate accounting
• Assist in planning, performance, and documentation of pre-close financial due diligence
• Lead through team members to deliver results
• Mentor team members for growth of skills and engagement

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with month-end close processes and solid knowledge of account reconciliations ?
• Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)?
• Ability to take initiative, use strong analytical and communication skills, ? drive accounting efficiencies, all with an attention to detail, ? collaborative style, ? and inquisitive ? mindset ?

Preferred Experience

• Integration experience with Mergers & Acquisitions
• Demonstrated abilities and comfort to navigate a variety of platforms (e.g., Microsoft Business Central or equivalent ERP, QuickBooks, BlackLine and PowerBI)
• Software as a Service (SaaS) business model and accounting, including revenue recognition
• Technical accounting application
