Role Description

We’re looking for a House Manager in Austin, TX, who isn’t afraid to jump in, take initiative, and keep a household running smoothly. This part-time role (with potential to grow into full-time) is perfect for a hands-on doer who thrives on efficiency, multi-tasking, and proactive problem-solving.

You’ll handle a variety of household responsibilities, from meal prep and laundry to keeping things organized and running efficiently. This role is about more than just checking off tasks—it’s about anticipating needs, creating structure, and bringing a sense of calm to a busy household.

Responsibilities

(Tailored specifically to customer needs, but can include:)

  • Take ownership of household tasks with a proactive, get-it-done attitude
  • Manage family calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate activities
  • Plan ahead for holidays, special occasions, and family events to ensure smooth execution
  • Meal prep and light cooking to keep the family well-fed with healthy options
  • Tackle laundry, tidying, and organization to keep things running smoothly
  • Handle occasional errands and other household responsibilities as needed
  • Identify and solve problems before they arise—keeping the household on track
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with family members to understand and meet their needs

  • Qualifications A natural doer—someone who takes initiative, figures things out, and solution-oriented
  • Exceptional multitasking and time management skills—able to juggle tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills—able to anticipate needs and adapt as things change
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience in household management, administrative support, or personal assistance similar is a plus
  • Comfortable with meal prep and basic cooking skills
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or experience are a bonus
