Description and Requirements

Location: New Hires Should live within a commutable distance of the Oriskany NY office (Central NY)

Group Life Administrator - Claim Preparation - Group Life

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews notifications of death received from multiple sources such as employers, third party administrators, first notice of loss phone department and file feeds to determine where and to whom claim kits are to be mailed.

• Review and maintain data in multiple systems such as retrieving beneficiary information, benefit amounts and enrollment history for the claim to be in good order.

• Evaluate deaths regarding eligibility and plan requirements in order to determine appropriateness of claim filing and resolving items not in good order associated with the claim as needed to allow for claim kit mailing.

• Providing interdepartmental support, including but not limited to, phone call center, claims review and electronic death match, which is includes regular cross training.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or required by business need.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Required

• Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple computer software programs simultaneously

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
• Work in a team environment
• Customer Service/Call Center experience

Preferred

• Associates Degree with business experience

• Life insurance administration experience
