Job Title: FICC Python Developer
Duration: 18 Month W2 Contract
Location:Jersey City
Required Pay Scale:$63-$73/hour
The candidate would be responsible for building and maintaining software written in Python within the internal trading platform environment. Responsibilities include:
- Work with Business Analysts understand user requirements and to implement solutions to deliver data to internal Bank consumers using our existing frameworks.
- Use Python APIs, user-facing UI tools and SQL to understand data related to populations, valuations, and risk sensitivities across the range of financial instruments and businesses within Traded Products.
- Leverage Python, Sandra (no-SQL DB), AMPS (messaging) to build components in our stack.
The Zinc platform is the Authorized Data Store for Traded Products and houses a multi-year online repository of Trades, Positions and Risk. We load more than 6 billion rows into our Exadata platform daily. We provide data critical to many aspects of the Firm’s activities including Trading & Risk Management as well as middle office, back office, and regulatory reporting

Required Skills
Candidate must have experience in Python, Java or C++ and some knowledge of SQL is helpful. Python is preferred but other experience can be considered.
Candidate must have a B.S./B.A. In Computer Science or similar degree and knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a role developing software.
Candidate must have experience other than Java EE and client side JavaScript.
Desired Skills
Experience with SQL
Experience with UNIX or Linux
TDD/Agile methodology
Experience in Institutional Finance IT (risk generation, risk reporting, trade capture, etc.)
