Responsibility Summary:
The Director of Marketing and Communications (DMC) leads the strategy, planning, and execution of all internal and external communications for Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC). This role is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications policies, procedures, and brand standards that elevate the organization’s visibility, reinforce its mission, build trust in its brand, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. As a key member of the Development and Marketing leadership team, the DMC also oversees fundraising communications, media relations, and crisis communications.

The DMC has a high-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The DMC has the following direct reports: Marketing and Communications Specialist.
Relationships
The DMC works closely with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, leadership and members of the Development and Marketing Team, as well as agency leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum educational requirement of a bachelor’s degree. At least 8 years of experience in Communications and Marketing, with at least 3 years in managing teams required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment. Must possess excellent management skills, professional written and verbal skills, including report writing and presentation and organizational skills.
