Were Looking For A: Buyer who will be responsible for managing and executing all purchasing functions at Golden Hippo, ensuring that procurement aligns with the company's specialized and complex needs. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, securing favorable terms, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials or services in compliance with company procedures and regulations.
The Buyer collaborates with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements, maintain supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective solutions while upholding quality standards. This position plays a critical role in optimizing the supply chain, supporting business operations, and contributing to overall company success.

Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Hybrid)

What Youll Be Doing:

• Responsible for issuing all purchase order, tracking, and follow-up


• Serve as the vendor liaison for issue resolution and vendor complaint and participate in/lead supplier engagement activities


• Build customer relationships internally, providing timely and accurate information to the business


• Lead cost-savings initiatives that impact the business


• Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers


• Complete requests for quotes by identifying and selecting vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of commodities, price, and delivery date


• Explain and clarify purchasing procedures to internal departments as well as vendors


• Solve problems with orders in an efficient and timely manner.


• Analyze purchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completion.


• Collaborate with department managers to clarify purchase requisitions, identify departmental needs, and refine specifications for future purchase orders.


• Follow proper channels to obtain purchase authorization according to company policy and investigate and cultivate new sources for supplies and products.


• Research and prepare bid specifications and issue bid requests to several potential vendors and suppliers.

• Comprehensive knowledge of commodities in area of specialization

• AA/BA in Business, Mathematics, or a related field


• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business preferred


• Minimum 2-4+ years of previous experience in a similar role


• Food, nutrition and/or beauty industry experience preferred


• Previous buying experience strongly preferred, or ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skills preferred

The base salary range is $56,900-$75,900, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
