Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Nurse Technician, a vital role designed for nursing students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on clinical experience. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, performing nursing functions aligned with your current education and verified competencies.

Education

Candidates must be currently enrolled in good standing in an approved nursing program or have graduated within the last 30 days (or up to 60 days with special approval).

Experience and Requirements

• Maintain qualifications to work as a nursing technician according to state regulations and facility standards.
• Perform nursing tasks safely and accurately, including medication administration (excluding chemotherapy, IV medications, and scheduled drugs), following the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Observe and report patient responses and side effects to supervising RNs promptly.
• Assist with patient care activities such as transfers, activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, nutrition, and positioning.
• Ensure patient rights, dignity, and safety are upheld at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document care and observations accurately according to established policies.
• Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unpredictable situations with composure.

Work Environment

This role involves working 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule. The position requires teamwork, adaptability, and a genuine passion for patient care in a supportive and collaborative setting.
